Hey guys, What are you using on your yaks for a depth finder, if any. I want something portable and simple. I see where Hummindird has a battery operated depth finder that is mounted on a clamp with the transducer mounted on the end of a shaft. Any body use one of these?? Thanks
I have a hummingbird pirrahranmax 220 on mine. It works great on the yak if you want to find structure and know the depth. I have a light weight 12v battery that I brought from Cabelas. The transducer shoots through the hull with no problem and is +/- 2 degrees of the water temp. I would recommend it.
I have a 7 1/2 foot stake out pole marked off in 1 foot increments My Tarpon 160 has a Humminbird 110 something on it but I am picking it up next week. My Brother has apddled it and he said it works like a charm…
