yak fishing

My brother in law purchased three touring/sit in yaks a few months ago and I have fished out of them a few times. These yaks are bad a$$, but kind of ackward to fish out of due to the lack of rod holders and easy to get to tackle/bait storagage areas. Would it be worth adding the rod holders. I’m pretty sure he purchased them from Time Out. I cant remember the name/type, but they are all 16’, sit in, with storage on the bow and stern. Any suggestions on how to make them more fishing friendly would be helpful.

Thanks,

A couple of Sctty rod holders and a milk crate for your extra junk and you’re good to go.
You can make it as simple or as complicated as you like. I’m a big fan of the KISS principle.

Remember the basic rule: Rig to flip and dress to swim

So much water, So little time

Thanks Too Busy. The Scotty rod holders will be a perfect fit. I always like to keep it simple. More crap on a boat = more problems.

deacon, where you fishin at in the yak?lets hook up one day and get some trout.
