like f and g im thinkin about gettin a yak.i got some questions you guys can answer.
1.ive been told waders will work to stay dry, especially in winter, but
what if you go overboard.will a wader belt keep the water out until you can get back in yak?
2.wilderness systems claims you can stand up in their yaks.not that i want to do this, but could you stand enough to stretch your legs a little?
3.some of these yaks have the primary storage behind the seat.is this stuff easy to get to when your fishin in the middle of a river or creek?
4.i would need atleast 2 rodholders,a place for a baittank, storage, dry place for phone, keys, etc.does the tarpon series kayaks have these things or the capability of it? thanks surf
heres a few more questions:
1.will they tow your vehicle at some landings because they wont see a trailer attached to it?
2.what fishfinder do you guys use?i gather they have ones that work on small batteries?
3.can you throw a castnet from one?atleast a small,say 3 or 4 footer?
thanks for any replys in advance.im very serious about my fishin, and i dont want to mess up and get the wrong stuff or yak, etc. thanks
Hey SC, you’ve got mail.
Mud
thanks mudroc, ill call you soon. surf ps i live in north area also.
anybody on here own a “heritage redfish”?thats what im leanin towards right now.but,i gotta get with robdog first and see what he has, maybe try a few before i settle on one.gotta pump out some overtime to get the funds also.i also want to see your yak mudroc.
I have the same yak as Mudroc and love it. It tracks extremely well and has a ton of room for storage. I recommend that you get with Dolphin D and try out some of his yaks. He carries the WS Tarpon 140 that Mud and I have. A lot of looking for a yak depends on your size. I am 6’ and 188lbs and mine works great. I think the Heritage is able carry a considerable amount of more weight. kayakfishingstuff.com has all the specs on just about every yak if you want to check it out.
yeah dc i have been livin on that site lookin.youre right though,i gotta test some before i decide.im savin the money right now,so i got time.thanks for the info…surf
