Yak seat advice

My sone gave me a Eagle Talon with a crack of dawn seat. My first kayak trip lasted five hours. I learned a few things, start out with shorter trips, and find a way to raise the seat up to prevent swamp ass. Released a few spottails, and one small flounder. Any suggestions on the seat??? Thanks!

you are gonna get swamp ass in that kayak. You can try a couple throw-able cushions under your butt but most SOTs, especially big box store yaks will get yer butt soaked…

btw your link above resolves to hockey gloves… if you are fishing out of those you are really gonna get wet

Yep, you’re gonna be wet in a Eagle Talon. Better invest in some Anti Monkey Butt powder

Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!

Thanks, will load up on Monkey Butt Powder, and try a type 4 PFD.

Those square-shaped flotation cushions might help. I used to have a sit-on-top with a solid seat pan, and it helped make it more comfortable.

The GTS seat from Surf To summit would be the best possible seat for your kayak

WE have them in stock
