I have a 2001 Yamaha 2 stroke 90TLRZ that I can’t get to crank. It acts like it’s not getting fuel. It’s my winter time shallow water oyster getter boat so I need to get it running soon. Fuel line is clear and the bubble is tight. I’ve never had to pump the bubble and normally if I do I flood it. I tried for 30 minutes at the house the other day to crank it and nothing. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot the issue?
Dirty carbs? Had that problem with my 60 2-stroke.
You indicated that it is acting like it’s not getting fuel. But your title says it won’t crank? As in the engine won’t turn over? Or does it turn over but won’t start?
If your motor is like mine (mine is same model but a 70 hp), there should be an “Emergency” switch, a red lever on the front of the motor between the air cleaner and the oil tank. Have you tried cranking it with the switch (lever) in the emergency position?

Kill switch off? Keep it simple to start with.
Maybe pull a plug and ground it to the block and have someone spin it over to make sure you have fire. If so are plugs “wet”, could have fouled plugs? Good Luck!
Edit… Make sure you don’t have any spilled gas if you check for spark this way. They do make a cheap spark tester that most all auto parts stores carry.
I have same motor and sometimes if it takes too long to start, I can drain the fuel water separator and pump fresh fuel in, it usually cranks right up. It usually means its time to replace my fuel separator filter.
im not to sure, but im pretty sure…
I had one, if you leave it sitting for 3-4 weeks it won’t start. Go ahead and spend $300 to get the carburetors cleaned.

if pumping the primer bulb makes it hard to start, you have fuel system issues.
fuel pump leaking fuel into cylinder.
carb float sticking open, etc…
start by checking for spark after you make sure some didn’t pull the kill switch since you used it last.

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
Just went through same thing on my 01 90. Fuel water separator was culprit. Changed out and worked fine. Exact same problems.
Forgot to update. Motor was turning over but wouldn’t crank. Ordered new fuel filter but decided to check spark plugs first. The cap on the middle plug wasn’t on all the way. It doesn’t snap on as hard as the others and must have shaken loose. Plugged it back on good and it fired right up. Kept checking it through the day and it fired off every time. Simple fix. I had already checked kill switch and all the other simple things the first time but didn’t check the plugs until this time.
I’ve had that problem in the past, I now zip tie all my wires to the plugs!
