Chris v or anyone…What is the routine maintaince that should be done on a yamaha 25 hp 2 stroke. Mine is running like crap but I want to do the yearly service myself. Thanks
If it is in fact “running like crap” it’s probably not an issue that routine maintenance will fix. More than likely the Carberator/fuel system needs cleaning.
Clean/replace and check the gaps on your spark plugs- (.8-.9mm or .031-.035in)
Clean your under cowl fuel filter…preferrably with the engine cool.
Inspect your entire fuel system.
Change the foot oil.
Their’s really not much to these motors.
Nothing but a “SMART-ELLIC”!
