Thinking about repowering with one on a 26’ Sea Pro CC. It would be half the maintenance, more power, less weight and less $$ than two 150 Yamahas or two 175 Suzukis but you get less boat maneuverability and only one motor offshore.
not sure you are going to save much on the weight between 1 f350 and 2 f150s
have you considered the new v-6 4.2 liter f300
there, you would save weight, and money
the f350 weighs 820#
the f300 weighs 560#
2 f150s weigh 975#
props cost less, and the motor is about $2500 less
I run twin 350’s and am considering re-powering back to 3 300’s. The weight savings is big. The 350’s are like tanks. They are basically bulletproof and run like a champ, but eat fuel like a fat boy in a doughnut factory. Have not heard anything negative about the 300’s yet. The trade off in weight cost and speed seems to me like you should consider the 300’s.
I vote for the F300 as well. BUT, if you wait a bit I am sure you could find some deals on the F350 as people repower to the 300s. I don’t own either. Personally I would rather save the money and buy a seatow membership for the rare occasion you will need twins.
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

i agree, that is what i will probably do if the day ever comes to repower.
I agree with the F300… I have twin F-150’s on the same boat and she will do right around 50 mph. I am assuming you will do atleast 50 w/ a F300, and don’t think you would get more than 3 or 4 mph more with the F350.
Let us know what you decide… I am curious what that boat will do with a big Yammy on the back. I read somewhere of a guy that put a 275 V-rod and was getting 3 mpg.
