I would like to tap into the collective expertise on this website for some insight on an engine problem.
31 contender 2001, 2006 yamaha 250 4stroke, 200 hrs, runs perfect in calm water, all day, Saturday running offshore 28 kts , 30 minutes past the sea buoy the starboard engine fails, its will crank back up but runs rough, off and on for the next 15 min, at one point it ran strong again for 30 min, this exact scenario played out again and again until back at the dock ???..the port engine ran perfect the entire time…both engines pulling from the same tank…
check the fuel filter for that engine and all hose connections.

fuel filters are easiest and cheapiest
if that doesnt fix it, internal filters are next in line
