It there a way to test to see which of the above is bad? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Jump the solenoid. If works then solenoid is bad. If not can be both. Hope you are doing well

You could also just check to see if the big post closest to the starter motor is hot when the key switch is in the starting position with a multimeter (check voltage, should be 12V). Also Check to make sure you have a hot battery.
