Yamaha extended warranty (YES) - good deal?

I just got an offer in the mail to extend the warranty on my Yamaha F250 for up to 3 more years. The motor came with a 3 year warranty standard.

The cost is steep with an additional 3 years costing $2,700. I do run the boat often and hard.

I know it is just an opinion, but what is yours? Good deal or a deal for a sucker?

by the way, anyone with a spare crystal ball, how about see if I am going to have a major breakdown or not, that would really make this decision much easier :smiley:

I bought the “YES” for my motor. I suppose it all depends on motor size. I have the LA250, and you have the F250. If either of them do break, it is going to be a significant cost. I hope mine does not have problems, but if it does, I know I don’t have to worry about it until 2019.
