I see “play” where the arrow is pointing. Is changing this bolt a do it yourself or removing the engine? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Paul

we have replaced a few over the years
it is the tilt tube
the bushings wear out over time
motor is basically gonna need to be hung in the air while the tube is replaced

Thanks Chris- is that white piece the bushing? Did it slide out?

WHITE PIECE IS BUSHING
MOTOR ISNT GOING TO FALL OFF, BUT WITHOUT THE BUSHING, ITS STEEL TUBE AGAINST ALUMINUM BRACKET, AND IF THE BRACKET WEARS, THEN ITS A MUCH LARGER MORE EXPENSIVE JOB
