Yamaha F150 Trim Tilt Seal

I tried the special tool and could not budge. Now its time for heat and punch! Any tricks to getting the cap off?? I bought a spare cap because I know Im going to destroy it.

Has anyone had any luck?

special tool for that is the tube with 4 studs sticking out
is that the one you have and still cant get it out?
get a longer ratchet

i tried that spanner and broke all 4 of the studs. Maybe time for heat?

try steady pressure, and it helps to get a second pair of hands to hold the tool tight against flange
if that doesnt work, a large steel chisel in one of the holes, and a large hammer driving on an angle
I wouldnt use heat, but thats just me
