I have just replaced the VST and F filter on 2005 F150 4-Stroke.
So far so good.
However, as I am putting the throttle bodies back on, I notice a hose connector on top of the throttle bodies, but I do not see a hose going to it. It is nearest to the motor block. Suggestions?
Also, on the back of the air intake plenum, I notice another “hole”. Not sure what could go there, it anything.
Is the hose connector you refer to in the top picture the vertical bronze colored piece just below the flywheel? If so, that’s where one of the rubber grommets from the plastic fly wheel cover attaches. Not sure on what the other opening is for on the plenum, I will check my F150 tomorrow to see if it has one as well, it’s a 2011.
I checked my motor, it has the same opening on the plenum with no hose connected to it.
I need to do my VST, but afraid I might lose a part or screw something up. How bad was it? I have a little mechanical ability, but I’m known for taking things apart and not being able to get them back together.
