Does anyone have a recommendation for a good outboard mechanic in the Greenville Spartanburg area of the upstate. I don’t mind driving a little to find someone who is talented. I have a 225 yamaha 2 stroke 01’
Thanks guys.

Foothills Motor Sports and North Hills Auto(The owner does it as a side thing) does them I THINK. But dont quote me on that. Might be worth a call however

Perry Haymes in Simpsonville was always good to me when I was in Greenville.
Palmetto Marine on Easley Bridge Road (Hwy 123) keeps the bassers running. I’ve heard a few swear by the folks there.I gonna have to disagree with them on North Hills Automotive. They are wolves in disguise.
I’m so excited I can barely cope,
I sizzlin’ like an isotope.
Thanks. I’ll give Perry a call.
Thanks. I’ll give Perry a call.
While I’m waiting to hear back from Perry. I’ve checked the Yamaha site and there a few service centers who have a “master technician outboard” designation. What is the deal with this designation and is it worth going to a lot of trouble to locate one of service centers? Thanks guys
“Master Technician” means they know what they’re doing with all the “new” computer controlled motors. The day of the “shade tree” mechanic is going by fast. With an older motor they are fine, but with the newer ones they’re just not up to speed IMHO.
There’s a fellow over in Lyman with a little shop. I can’t remember the crossroads but his name is Scott Roddy. He was with Perry for a while and does good work at fair prices. I’ll look and see if I still have his number somewhere.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
