Anyone have ideas on where to find them for other options than shown on the boat manufacturers site? Looking to compare the Tidewater 230CC with 250 as shown on site to a 300hp on the boat and see if it’s worth the $2500 additional the dealer quoted
I don’t know the direct answer for that boat/motor combination, but as a general rule I’d put every HP that the capacity plate says it can have. And maybe a few more. Almost never seen anybody complain about having too much power, if the boat and operator can handle the power.

It’s not worth $2500 to me personally for 3-5mph WOT and 1-2mph on cruise while losing .5-1.0mpg economy. Comparing the 200 on the Nautic Star and Sea Fox vs the 250 on the tidewater, the speeds are almost identical but 1.0mpg loss in economy. The TW is 600lbs heavier though.

I have a 23 lxf with a 250 don’t think you need the xtra 50 tops out at 51 cruze at 30.
