Yamaha steering sticking w/ tiller control

I have a 97 yamaha 30 hp with a tiller handle that is, at times, almost impossible to turn/steer. I have looked all over the steering column and only see one adjuster screw, on the left side, that supposedly tightens and loosens the steering ability. I have taken this screw completely out, and have not found the results that I am looking for. I have manually pumped grease into this area and have found only slight results. Do any of you know if there is a grease fitting that I am missing, or is there any other technique that I should be trying? Thanks, in advance, for your help.

often you will get corrosion or rust on the steering pivot. there is a plastic collar inside.
the corrosion causes it to bind
you can sometimes heat teh entire assembly with a blowtorch, while pumping grease into it, and get it freed up some, but its 50-50 at best. only true repair is to take it apart and replace bad parts, but thats gets expensive fast, and the heat and grease is always worth a try
