Yamaha Y.E.S. warranties

Just bought a YES warranty for my F150 a couple of weeks ago. I got the actual paperwork in the mail today and it seems to offer many reasons for Yamaha not to pay warranty claims. It just adds some piece of mind, but if it doesn’t cover anything, why keep it? Any input? Are these warranties good if you do your own maintenance?

It covers everything that your factory warranty covers. The items listed should be wear and tear items. You can do your own maintenance but keep all of the parts receipts.

Dude…I just took a 2007 ultra lx jet ski to the dealer today. I purchased an extra 3 year warranty when i go it. I went to change to plugs and one rung the thread from the head and the othe broke off. The dealer told me that if they would have done the work it would be covered. So I call Kawasaki. They say the dealer must call them and tell them it was from a defective part. So i have paid 1200 bucks for a warranty I cant use nor get my money back. No more extended warranies for me.

Yes you are correct. If you damage it, not covered. Even if the shop does it, not covered unless they fibb.

Thats common sense though. Thanks for the input. The fact that is the same as the original warranty is good to know.
