YamaLube ?'s

i have always run yamalube in my 2 stroke. While i was out of town, my buddy put evinrude/johnson oil in it. Is this something i should be concerned about? Should i burn off the tank of gas then refill and put my yamalube back in or top off the tank now and add yamalube?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Not to worry, as long as it was 2 cycle oil. They were probably made in the same factory anyway. Yamaha doesn’t make oil

kinda what i figured, though the evinrude oil seemed to be much less viscous. Thanks for your reply!

if its a premix carbed 2 stroke, I would not worry about it at all, just go on like it didn’t happen.
if its an HPDI, I would drain oil and start over
probably overkill, but I don’t like mixing oil brands.
none of the motor companies make oil, but every one of them has different additives in them, and some don’t play nice together.
