Can’t keep air out of the tilt motor lines. Trying to raise the motor, it will not move at times and go super slow as well. Unscrew the cap and PSSSST! Air shoots out. Could it be that air is getting in around the plastic cap itself or somehow there is a leak I can’t find? Not seeing any fluid leaking, but when i shoot some fluid in the hole, it seems to take it a lot. Frustrating. Any thoughts?
Check to make sure manual screw is in correct position. Spray the motor with soapy water. Check for air bleeding. If you have to constantly add fluid you have a leak somewhere

Check the caps on your hydraulic cylinders, I had one that had loosened about 1/2 turn causing a similar issue, you’ll need a pin type spanner wrench which I got at Harbor Freight for 5 bucks, tightened it up and problem solved.

Manual screw being loose will not introduce air into the system,
spraying soapy water on the outside of the trim unit???
if you EVER have to add fluid, you have a leak, period. its a sealed system.
the fluid is leaking out, causing the fluid level to be low, and that aerates the system, or you have some faulty valving inside the unit, that is causing it to aerate, and therefore it builds pressure

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
Spraying soapy water on the unit MAY show you where a leak is. Look for bubbles while running the trim up and down, especially around the seals on the rams. Its an easy for someone to check at home. You may see the air escape as you do with a flat tire. I didn’t say that it was the correct way to test, but a cheep way to look at it. As Chris said its a sealed system, if air is getting in then fluid is getting out unless inside the unit.
