Beautiful today on the water with a friend. Put in at Bushy once the tide put some water in to float a deep V boat and headed down the Cooper. We decided to change up from our usual places and started at the mouth of Yellow House creek and worked our way up.
Started with 8 inch Pompano’s stealing bait till we finally caught one. Moved up and started catching Trout, mainly dinks that were hungry for MM’s. Did manage to pull 3, 18-19 inchers out of the same area. Decided to move further up and fished a flat area behind a dike and a few more Trout, Chopper Blue’s, smallest catfish in the world, chunky Gar that was very stubborn and some small Spot Tail. Oh yeah, a common ray as well. Probably 14 fish total, all released.
My Bud forgot his stick-it pin, so we just nosed in to the marsh grass.(forgot to rotate Iphone)
