yellowfin on friday ?

Fished Friday inshore of the EB and radio reception was crazy good and heard someone NE of us in 500’ feet of water spot a school of yellowfins and allegedly boated one ? Anyone hear of this …

A school of yellowfins?

I think if any of the locals saw that they would drop dead of a heart attack.

Would love it to be true!

Maybe someone has a pic?

And not report it to the rest of the fleet via radio.

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

papas toy has a pic up he posts on georgetown/grand strand. i believe he fishes the scarp area caught on friday

Saw the pic. That tuna was definitely lost.

That is definitely a yellowfin. The Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament is next week if there are any more yellowfin out there the Christy II should be bringing some back. They usually focus on and win the meatfish category.

We were out there fishing around the Pa Pas Toy…caught BFT’S and Bonitas mixed in…off in the not so far distance we saw what looked like we used to see around here years ago…YFT’s busting…I don’t think it was the BFT’S but who knows. Perhaps they are back.

Whats it been 7 yrs?

I know one was fought off Carolina beach N.C. Saturday

Ask me no questions I’ll tell you no lies.

2005…we had multiple trips with YFT’s…One trip we had 5 in the 40 lb range…2003 we got 13 out at Bubble Rock in an hr.

Glad I wasn’t hearing things…

So where’d they go?? I remember them being here sporadically back 05-06 but nothing after that…

I’ve always felt that 95% of them simply travel the east wall of the gulfstream …there is
a consistent fishery for them both north and south of here so they have to come by at
some point…just far offshore
