Yet another has question?

I know there’s tons of discussion on ethanol fuel versus non ethanol and I get that. Does anyone have any experience bad or good with valvtect marine fuel? My closest Marina has that and I was just curious

Title should have read… fuel question…oops

Should not matter as long as it meets engines octane requirement.

If it’s sold at the marina, it should be ethanol free rec 89. No experience with valvtect

While we are on the subject of eth free, I talked to a guy the other day while filling up my boat and he told me I should run the first 2 gal into my truck beforE filling the boat becaus the pump also despenced 3 types of gas thru the same hose and the hose and pump would be full of what ever was pumped prior to me! What are ya’ll thaughts?

Makes sense to me. If getting 20 gal I wouldn’t worry… but if getting only a few I would.

Oh the joys of bulk fuel storage at the house, never have to worry about ethanol being in any of my vehicles or toys!

There is no question pure gas is so much better for all vehicles and toys.

You run an in line filter/water separator on your bulk tanks? Haven’t had a lot of issues with our Gas, but have seen a lot of contaminants in our diesel from time to time… on and off road.

Yes, run filters/water separators on the gas and diesel. Never had an issue with the fellas we are getting fuel from. I go through 1000 gallons of diesel a week in season.
