Just hoping people would think about the options out there.
I bought a pelican brand cooler for several reasons.
This article adresses all but the most important one for me:

What this article doesn’t mention is country of manufacture. Pelican coolers are made in the USA. Yeti’s…? Some in China, some in Phillipines, and maybe some in the USA. Yeti says to call to order a cooler from the USA, but when we called, none of the products that we were interested in were made in the USA.
So, if I can save money on a quality product from the USA over one from China, it is not a hard decision.
Hopefully this will be a good last minute, US made gift idea for someone.
