YETI...Finally!

$300+ for something that going to keep a $1.25 bag ice longer than my igloo that cost 25.00. Can’t justify it!!! (**() sure would like to hire the marketing firm for Yeti though. Now there is some value for your money… Oh I forgot you have to buy the locking cable as well so it does not grow legs and walk off.

Got to use my newly branded bait cooler this morning…still worked the same . Bait stayed cool the whole time.

I saw a test on you tube where a coleman 48 ($60) out performed a yeti same size. I just want the Yeti sticker. Oh never mind - just hand me a crayon!

A lot of the young guys (at work) keep the YETI in their truck beds. They chain them to their tool boxes and lock them. I never thought a cooler would be a fashion statement. I could blow that money on something way more useful.

How well have the handles held up on the igloo?

So far, so good!! The rubber coating is torn and coming off of one of the handles, but that was caused by me, no fault of the Igloo. I actually like the Igloo handles compared to the Yeti…

Me either. I’ve got a Yeti, only because somebody gifted it to me for some free boat work. It does keep ice longer, I’ve got 6 coolers on my porch, every major brand, and the Yeti keeps ice longer than any of them. But it’s heavy as a bag of rocks, takes 2 men and a boy to carry one loaded, and with those rubber feet you can’t drag it anywhere.

I only use it as a stationary cooler. We had family in for the Independence Day weekend and loaded the Yeti with beer and ice on Fri. morning and left it on the porch. 5 people used it and cycled 3 or 4 cases of beer and hard cider through it for 3 days, and I just poured out the original ice this morning.

I can’t justify spending $30 on a drinking cup either, but my wife did and it sure is a nice cup:sunglasses:

Got a line on Rambler type tumblers for much less than Yeti. They work just the same and fit the cupholder in my ride a bit better.

I always figured, that I would get what I could afford at the time, I needed it! When I grew up I could afford a more expensive model, of what I wanted! If I wanted it bad enough and thought I needed it, bad enough, I bought it! You either clean and eat the fish or drink the beer, before the ice runs out! Really, your talking about $10.00 worth of ice, that your going to dump on the ground anyway!

Camped on Capers 2 nights this past weekend…kept food in that Engel 35 West Marine sold for “cheap” and still had ice (only put one bag in on Fri morning) Sunday afternoon after sitting in sun for 48+ hours. I’d say that worked fairly well.

Yeti products seem to more polarizing than politics.

I guess there is one more thing not to talk about around mixed company
