Fished south, dropped early on the ledge on some decent looking water with nothing to show for it. Pushed out deep and found a white, which was my first billfish and a first for the boat. As we were putting the lines back out, looked up and had a sail on the teaser, fed him but came unglued. We fished from 160’ out to about 1600’ and never really found the dolphin . . . just one of those days. Ended with 2 dolphin and 1 white.

Little frustrated we couldn’t find the dolphin, especially since others around us seemed to, but that happens sometimes. Sounded like we should have fished straight off. Oh well, enjoyable day with a good crew, a nice way to spend Memorial Day.

Lynn, appreciate it. Next time we head out, I will let you know. It is always nice to have someone else out there on the water you can call on if something comes up. Congrats again on your day, and thanks again for hailing us back on the radio and letting us know what was doing in shallow.

Will, Thanks for the invite, had a great time. It is always great to catch-up with some of my favorite former players. We forgot to send you in for a swim.

Coach, you are welcome anytime on our boat. Had a blast, glad to be able to catch our first bill and my first bill with you on the boat. Let’s catch up again soon for a troll/bottom trip.

Congrats on the fish. We headed to central Florida to fish with family and friends from Port Canav to Fort Pierce Inlet over the Memorial Day weekend and dolphin were sparse there too. Wonder if it is slow all along the southeast coast? Looking to fish out of either Georgetown or Charleston in the next couple of weeks.
