Has anyone tried or had luck by the Yorktown? Thanks
oh plenty of people have tried there are ten boats between the ship and that concrete boat every weekend
Any luck?
i was there last friday night on the falling tide? No luck literally not one shrimp. I was the only boat there too…
Thanks for update, since launches closed have to go out at night which I don’t like to really do. Yorktown was productive? Hope things will pick up…
My son and I set up by the Yorktown tonight. We caught some very nice shrimp, just no quantity. They starting picking up with the incoming tide but he was ready to go. I believe the best we did was 8-10 shrimp per cast but they were big. We caught a lot of pinfish, too.
We were at remleys tonight at sunset and there were a bunch of boats heading out shrimping. Got back at midnight and still about ten trailers left. Hope that’s a good sign.
Talked to a couple that came from Columbia, yes Columbia, to shrimp tonight. They were in wando across from the port and did not do well he said. I asked why he wasn’t in the harbor and he replied “Too many (**() yahoos”. You can’t make this stuff up.
Hopefully everyone else did well.
Spoke with a guy that coolered out at Edisto and have heard good things around Beaufort. Maybe the shrimp have moved south?

We were the ones from Columbia. Wife was learning to drive and cast so it was tough hitting the bait every time. There were shrimp on almost every cast so I think they were there but she was tired and it was windy so we came back In. Had fun though
We went to Whale Branch in Beaufort last night. Caught a pretty good amount of shrimp, but only 15% of what we caught was big enough to mess with. Everything else about the size of a triple A battery. Shrimped Otter Island this afternoon, would get three shrimp on a pass then have a hundred. Most of them were very good size though.
