Anybody with any experiences with this trick?
you must have been talking with that polyball…
wow,of all folks, certainly you arent falling for that swampy?
jesus
No! It seems optimistic… Discussion on the club. Attention turning to that now. My version uses a 12/0 longline hook.
leg hold trap
Using bait with a hook in it is considered animal cruelty and is very illegal. Even for yotes. go with the leg traps if you don’t want to hunt them.
Yes it is. Being facetious. Such a fine line on the cruelty issue.
1 is an accepted method, the other…
If you got time to lean, you got time to clean.
I personally don’t agree with leg traps either. I prefer hunting them. But, leg traps are legal and just because I don’t agree with their use, doesn’t mean others shouldn’t use them if it is their choice
I’m skeptic on the sponge thing. I’ve seen Coyote scat that was nothing but a wad of hair I would think they would pass a sponge?
If using a leg trap, make sure it’s a good one and anchored well, those bastards will go total ape crap fool.
What ever works! The bastards ruined my rabbit hunting:angry:

You got me. What’s the conection between vulcanized rubber and armadillos? I know they’ll go in a live trap for eggs.

Hunted with some very well renowned QDMA guys for turkeys in the congaree swamp several days last week and they have been working on the sponge idea hard. So far, they feel like it has been successful but only time will tell. They say it will only take out canines b/c it is a canine’s instinct to just “wolf” it down without chewing or tearing…if swallowed whole they will not pass it, at least these guys were telling me. I will say these guys run the finest hunt club I have ever visited and their QDMA practices are unequaled IMO. I rode around and dispersed some with them, the next day 11 out of 12 were gone with yote tracks in the road around them…IDK, just what I learned last week
if they are not setting a trail cam up how do they know the coyotes are eating them. Have they been finding dead coyotes in the woods since the sponge dispersal? I have seen dogs eat an crap out lots of weird things.
I find this hard to believe. My 100lb lab crapped a sock out more than once. They were still wearable (no, I didnt wash them and use them afterwards). Each came out resembling a crap that had went through the digestive system…just white. Unbelievable. Still cant believe that he didnt die.

sponge chunks in yote terds may mean a non-fatal inconvenience

I dont think sponges would work either they eat anything. Walk down a dirt road and look at Yote crap its got hair and bones in it. Even saw some on club with pieces of aluminum can in it. If bulldogs lab ate a sock and passed that whats a sponge going to do.
its all poppycock and bull $hiit.
why people always want the cheap, lazy way out is beyond me.pay all that high dollar to be a member of a club, but dick around when it comes to predator control.
fawns will be dropping real soon,a yote aint going for a silly sponge with all sorts of grease and human scent on it,they will be feasting on your tender, little spotted ones.
keep dicking, and your yotes will be licking.
Some clubs ( and private land owners ) are offering discounted dues or a certain $ amount for every yote or cat that you take out. Incentives sometimes get the lazy ones out in the woods.
My club is offering one prize for the most predators taken between the end of deer season and mid June. The prize is $ 1000… Some clubs do not have the extra $ to do this but they should do something for predator control. So far, there has been 3 cats, 3 foxes and 5 yotes taken out.
We also have a crew in there doing some hog control as well.

Its good to kill them but if you read up on yotes they breed to keep thier numbers the same. If there numbers get low they will breed 2 to 3 times a year to maintain them. They are never going anywere now.
