Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

The extra sales of Clemson gear alone has to have an impact. Extra eyes brings more sponsorship money to Clemson reducing demands for state money. I dont know how much of an impact it would be but I’m sure it’s beneficial.

I pulled for the chickens when they were having their fine baseball run. I tend to pull for them against (most) ACC teams, if the Tigers are out of it. Don’t misunderstand I am ALL orange, but why not root for the ‘home’ team in the situation ?

Reading some of the comments, I had to put my own thoughts out there. I have been a Gamecock supporter for longer than most of ya’ll have been alive, but I have also supported all teams in the the State of South Carolina except for one day in November. I am proud of the fact that Clemson University is playing for the national championship. I hope they represent us well on Monday night.
I wish Clemson the best and a win by the Tigers will only help the State of South Carolina. Much different place than when Danny ran the program and aren’t looked upon as Rednecks anymore from outside.
Dabo has done a great job, and I’ll be pulling for him. Class act IMO and worthy of where he came from and how he got to where he is.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
Considering the thread is directed at Gamecock fans for those that can read between the lines, I'd say no..not really.
It’s a valid question though. I know some Gamecock fans that refuse to pull for the Carolina Panthers, because they played at Clemson when the franchise started.
