How do these compare to the Lumens(Brightness) on the Halogens lights? Would these work?

Why would you want expensive lights?? the halogens that I use are $9.00 at Home Depot. If it gets rusty or the glass breaks, I throw it away

I’m no gigging man, but it seems like most would have moved to LED’s now. They use only a small fraction of the power needed for traditonal lights, so a generator wouldn’t be necessary. They also produce no heat. Just curious.

I’ve been all over on my gigging lights and I guess the next step is generator. Right now I have two www.coastalnightlights.com LED’s on homeboymade bracket. It’s plenty bright, lasts multiple trips, but they were kind of expensive.

The hi $ fog light style (water resistent) LED’s are $70 each, need two to four, then 1 marine/car battery, $60? A generator plus the big bulky lights is loud, expensive, bulky… I have two of the 10x1 LED lights, they stay on for 12 hrs no problem with a small car battery. Haven’t gigged with them yet but the footprint is teeny and the lights are small, put out as much as a hi beam car light. For under $300, it’s something to consider. See www.superbrightleds.com. They have some inspiring products… for instance you could run some of their 1 watt strips all the way down the side of the boat! Why let all the low rider and Harley guys have all the fun?

well i just keep it simple with 16 800 watt halogens with 2 diesel generators

my generator puts out so much heat! It is a yamaha 1000.I found a light bar of 8 leds at Harbor Freight for $18.00 uses AA batterys and have used it many times and never changed batterys used duct tape to tape it in place.
