I was thinking a little lower tech

Woodfloats?

I’ve tried lower tech, its hard to beat a Honda generator. BTW, I have an EU1000 and I’m in the market for a 2000(use it for other stuff than gigging), any one interested in trading or selling a 2000?

2 100watt 12v bulbs. 1 12v Batt. All the doormats and conversation you could wish for. Old school and sticking with it.GH

On the Mississippi Gulf, they used to wade with a carbide lamp on their hat and pull a galvanized washtub behind them. Thay hated wakes.

That sounds more like it Thanx

amen to that…might be convenient with a generator but tell ya what…one of the best things about being out there is being able to “TALK” with my daddy…

Another vote for the car batteries and shielded 12v lights. We always used two lights and batteries.I love being able to hear all of the little night sounds and being able to talk without raising my voice. The quietness is one of the best parts of striking.

I like to see them reach for the SPF 75!!! Seeing down 6’ and sticking sheephead works for me!

I’ve always heard the old timers say that…but when we came across an 8’ gator a few years ago hanging out just inches below the surface…I’d rather be in the boat.

Two 12 V batteries and four clamp on painter lights with 75 watt bulbs…my “techie” gigging friends laugh at my setup. I just smile and gig more flounder than them.
