Changed my water pump impellers and t-stats on twin 2007 DF140s this weekend. During disassembly, I noticed the “zinc” skeg on the starboard engine was a composite material, while the one on the port engine was the normal zinc. I have had the motors since new and never noticed this before, but since I had to remove them to pull the lower unit I noticed.
Is it normal to have one Zinc and one composite skeg?</font id=“size6”></font id=“red”>
