Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and loudly proclaiming, “WOW! What a ride!”

Was it a seasoned veteren or a typical CF newbie?

It makes a difference ya know!

I’m gonna go ahead and put this out there…

If it was Fernado, it doesn’t count. Means nothing to me.

very much a local captain. not going to name names but he has been fishing here for 30 years. he was cleaning the boat and in a hurry so i didnt get any specifics but i am certain that he was trolling baits. i will talk to him tomorrow and get more info. just curious if anyone else went.

The older I get, the better I was.

I talked to a few people and the reports were cery similar from Gtown hole to the 400 line. Cold water and no fish seemed to be a general concensus. Just what you want to hear the day before you have to go. Oh well it is a new day after all hopefully the ocean will be kind to us.

Know of one boat that got 10 dolphin today about 70 miles out, nothing too big and rough waves

John 21: 1-12

Two “experienced boats” fished out of the marina today, one went to GTH, caught a couple of “striped tuna”, the other caught a couple of slinger dolphin.

Netgirl, what marina are you at?

John 21: 1-12

Ripley, old side.

Last I heard, he took a new job somewhere inland and had to relocate. Haven’t heard from him since.

Speaking of which, I will need a new ride. Any takers drop me a line. Off on Sundays and Mondays. Fully trained but limited to feathers

word I got yesterday was the water was way, way, way offshore and that “I didn’t miss anything”.

Ocean was gross yesterday.

We started at the SW banks and made our way to GTH. Never marked any bait or saw any flyers. Warmest water was 69.6.

Talked to a few other boats and they were reporting very little.

We had to stop by Y-73 and jig up a couple of AJ’s to take the skunk off of the boat.

Went out yesterday
fishing the wahoo tourney ran into alot of boats at the scarp.
everybody fishing nobody catching. water temp 69.9 wherever you looked no break, no weeds no flyers. headed north away from the fleet to change up nothing all day. Gave up at three on the wahoo saved ourselves a trip up to little river for weigh in is all i can say. stopped at the hebe jigged up 4 nice amber jack as we flew by the wreck on the drift. four runs four fish then called it a day.
Windy and bumpy all day the ocean didn’t know which way it wanted to go. Then ran into a fog bank 12 mi out of Winyah bay, ran in on electronics only couldn’t see the front of the boat. On the whole a disapointing day given the anticipation. Next stop a week in the bahamas will be back when the fish are.
