Zuke questions

Looking at a boat with twin 15 2007 zukes…
Specs by Saltwater Marine May 8, 2009 Wilmington, NC Port Engine 794 hours Compression #1 - 195 #2 - 180 #3 - 195 #4 - 200 Starboard Engine 780 hours Compression #1 - 200 #2 - 195 #3 - 195 #4 - 200 Thank you for the inquiry.

Should i be worried about that 180 psi cylinder? Though they should all be within 10%
Has a Warranty till 2013… do they only cover parts and no labor?
We will est 1,000 hours on motors… how many hours do you think these will last? I am sure this has been brought up 1,000 times before, but the search keeps timing out on me.

Thanks
Chris

that not many hours on the motors as long as they had oil changes. The compression, you can take a reading 3-4 times and get differant reading each time "throttle all the way open ,it partly closed etc etc etc " don’t know about outboards but car engines within 8-10% is ok.You might have some carbon build up the high cylinders also, 180 psi. might be normal

180 is with in 10% of two hundred. find out what compression is on a new one.
