Forgot the whole time change deal left at 3 am and looked at the GPS
2/12/ hours later and realized it was pitch black and we were already
on approach to the Triple Ledge. Pulled it back and drifted while rigging, came across a 65.5 to 70.5 break in 200 yards in only 155 feet. Pulled on it right at dawn and managed two boneheads. Headed out and worked the ledge for atime in 72 degree water getting a few
strikes here and again. Worked on out to try and find the stream edge
and hit it around 575 feet with double the ocean and double the wind.
Came back into the Scarp and finished up. Ended the day with some boneheads, a kingfish and a peanut bull. Moon maybe…early…don’t know but it was a great day anyway. Only saw 1 flying fish allday but
counted well over 30 loggerheads with alot of small ones. Thanks to
Kruggerand and Wilson for infinite patience.
nice report. see much bait on the sounder while trolling?
livin at the beach
it took you 2 days and a boat ride to figure out the time moved ahead one hour?
same thing I was thinking. its tuesday huh?
Today was a good day to be trolling. Thanks for the report.
Thats funny…not quite though. I head to work every morning at 4:30 so while I did catch the time change
in my mind I didn’t correct for the SUNRISE change. Since I’m headed out every mornin in the dark i just don’t notice when the sun comes up. Plus I never slept last night and running out I was doing 32-34kts while jamming to Zamfir, quaffing Blue Mountain dark roast, this put me there sooner rather than later.
As to the bait question, there was a nice pile in 250 and that was pretty much it. Saw about 7-8 peanut dolphin
thruout the day just swimmin around.
Doesn’t sound good for me for tomorrow!
Thanks for the report.
