Met up with some friends and we put in at Live Oak. It cost us 16.00 smackers to launch our boat. 4 bucks per person to put the boat in.
Anyway we rode out to the sound and tried to shrimp. Little tide and clear water we decide to booze cruise a little. Came back after the tide had turn and the water was dirty and started catching a couple. About 6 dolphins came cruising by our poles and it was all she wrote. Decided to continue our booze cruising.
Was a beauty day on the water and extremely fun…
You can put in at the marina for ten bucks. Or you can buy a yearly pass for fifty dollars to use the State Park. I think the year pass is good for all State parks in SC
we were at the sound on the combahee bank on falling tide Friday and did not see a shrimp. of course it was in the middle of the day, water appeared fairly clear and noticed many others just sitting there. i hope someone else caught some. I assume they turned on when the sun went down. on Sat we cruised up the front beach to the N. Edisto and notice the comm shrimpers pulling very close to the beach. But, cold beer and great weather make for a good day.
