Saltwater Surf / Pier Fishing

Got out for a couple hrs at the tale end of prime time and had a few bites and managed one decent fish. So I’ve got 2 of the beach so far this October, and should have a few more because I missed a few. Caught on cut mullet , about 8 inches hook to swivel and a sinker slider above that, 4 oz and 7/0 circle hook got it done today.

What part of the tide?

About two hrs into high tide falling but I caught the end of the bite. so hightide falling would of been better.
