Was out fishing at 4KI yeasterday with my brother. BSB by the truck load. I threw out a whole squid on a shark line and bam ! 45 min and some back breaking work. 11Ft hammerhead. Im guessing by my research online that she was probably about 450 lbs. Anyone who could help me with a guess would be appreciated. Water was as calm as I have ever seen it and was just another day in paradise.
You’ve got pictures right? Post them. I almost spearfished 4ki yesterday. That would have been a little unnerving. Sounds like a nice shark.

10-12 ft It stretched from my Helm to my motor on my 18 ft Trophy
According to online research it weighs about 400-500 lbs. If someone can help with that let me know. All I know was that it was strong and I fought it for about 45 min !

I dont think I could take much more. Next time I need to let it tire out longer. I was so wore out I could barely lift my beer after the fight. I did manage to get a few sips !

A 12 foot Hammerhead was weighed in at a shark tourny I fished this spring. One scale said 275, the other read 268. It’s a beast regardless of the weight, congrats!
I think I saw this guy a few weeks ago while diving at 4KI. He never got real close to me but there was something big approx. 10-12’ staying almost out of site of me. I never could make out what kind it was but I could tell it was grown. It was probably a good thing I hadn’t shot any fish yet or he might of paid me a visit to say hello.

What time of day did you catch him?
My wife and I were doing our open water SCUBA certification there yesterday afternoon around 2 PM. Certainly didn’t see him but did see tons of spade fish, BSB, and triggerfish. Also one small school of baracuda and a lion fish. Kind of glad I didn’t run into him.
sail,the only thing the guys at the pier would be is mad…because they couldnt land it.
even if you were allowed…i dont think youre gonna pull that one up with a rope.the beach…thats another story.we will get one sooner or later.cheers on the big fish.
