Fished the flat ocean today, but the bottom dwelling bite was very slow. We worked hard today and through a lot of sharks, BSB’s and Banded Rudders all day long.
I’ll fill in the report later on in more detail, but need to get this up so my guys can post some pictures per the rules…

It’s tough to put fish in the boat when everyone’s watching. I think that’s a strong showing for the tournament. At least this tourney will be a lot more competitive this time around.

There is way too much truth in that. It's still anyone's game. We're not confident at all with this score, but it could have been much worse and we are at least happy that it wasn't.

I didn’t pay up when I said I would. If I can’t now, that is one less you have to worry about. My crew is all over the place with personal issues and I don’t think I’ll have the time for a proper go at it in the next week. Plus, I see wind all the way to The Alutians at this point which should be through Wed. of next week. I think you guys have got it.

Ouch. Seems to me that the right thing to do would be to pay up as soon as possible since you committed to do so. It doesn't seem right to be able to back out after asking for a special favor to extend.

I don’t recall asking for a favor. I was told I could mail it on the deadline date, and I didn’t. I was just letting those not in the loop know that I had not ponied up. I didn’t want it to seem that I was jumping back in b/c you guys didn’t scale out #400. Rest assured I will fish if I pay. The initial post was prompted by Jersey Boy asking to jump in at this late date.
BTW- There were 2 or 3 others that “committed” to this, that didn’t fish. I don’t think you entered this just to compete with me.
