Decided to take a day with a good friend and participate in my annual birthday outing on the water. Weather was perfect. Once the tide got to moving, the fish turned on. Caught 40+ trout and a dozen or so red drum. Biggest trout was 19" and the biggest drum was 30". All caught on assorted gulp shrimp and minnow imitations and sea shad grubs (space guppy mainly). We fished structure but then decided to troll to keep up with the trout. Once we caught a trout, we’d go back and fish the area and catch a few more. Water was in the upper 50’s and mainly clear. It was a little dingier out in the river, but was clear back in the creeks.
Thanks for posting, can’t beat this time of the year!
