Fished the incoming tide on Saturday behind a lot of people on a breezy and overcast day. Water temp has dropped to 51-53 degrees in the creeks and the fish are starting to show it. 10 spottail bass and a half dozen trout were all that would cooperate. Artificiials fished near the bottom. Had several break off in the pilings and one just came off. Water was clear just about everywhere we went on the south side of the island. With all this rain, guess it will be a while before I get back out. Merry Christmas to all.
Saw on the weather here last night that ya’ll were forcast 5 to 8 inches of rain last night and today. Hope that didn’t happen, hope to make it down next week to do some shrimping!
I understand they got a lot of rain on Sunday and Monday after I left. Also, a bunch of freshwater coming down the river as well. You might do better on the North side.
Thanks, we usualy pull the net in the sound! Might try Devaus Bank.
