12/26 through 1/1 fishing help

All, I’m relatively new to Edisto having visited many times. Just purchased a property there though and will be breaking it in between Christmas and new years fishing wise. I have a pioneer Sportfish 197, yamaha 150 engine so have some capability for offshore.

I’ve read up on most of the posts, ideas, spots on the forum. Thanks for the reports and info.

Basically I’m interested in reds and trout, sharks to keep the kids active and interested. I will only get 13-16 days on the water each year with given me time vs. family beach time. I won’t be able to spend a bunch of time on the water learning and scouting.

If anyone could point me in a good direction for this time of year it would be appreciated. I’ll be on my own Sunday and Monday to find hopefully find some active spots before the rest of the family comes down on Monday afternoon. Need to get the kids on some fish to be able to compete with I phones and xbox.

Please help with numbers of info.

Best advice to learn quickly is charter a guide.

I’ve used him a couple times. I’m looking to get outside the creeks on the south, which is the only place he’s taken us.
