It was a cold and windy April Monday, but I couldn’t stand waiting any longer. I had a day off, which is rare, because even my weekends have been full for the past 2 months getting our house ready to put on the market.
I went out to the IOP for a few hours yesterday. Not a soul on the beach as far as I could see except me. I fished about 3 and 1/2 hours with 3 rods and fresh shrimp. It was very slow, but I did catch 5 nice whiting (one was 14"), and a small ray. Thinking about changing beaches for the spring season as the IOP hasn’t been that productive for me.

Love fishing iop. Caught a few 2lb whiting there. Nice catches. At least you did not go home with nothing. Myrtle Beach surf sucks right now. Catching baby whiting and that’s it.

Good to get out Jack. Whiting seem to be good size right now. Did you pull the trigger on a new rod?

Pete, I haven’t had the chance to go look at new rods yet. I’m sure I’ll get one in a week or 2.
