Caught these at a PI saltwater creek at low tide today by bouncing a ZMan trout eye jig (Glow) with a 4" Gulp Mullet (Chartreuse) along the bottom. On the board… a 15", 16" and 18". The 17" must have been the in water release just short of the bank . They were picked up in the center of the creek, so they must have been hanging in the deep. I would not term the bite today as active, think I was just real lucky. Wind picked up while we were there.
Good job. February can be tough inshore.

Where’s the saltwater creek at on PI?
Exactly where on PI

It passes by the 13th hole of the PI golf course. By boat, the entrance to the creek is from the Broad River (Elliot’s beach) and passes by General’s landing boat ramp (which is now closed due to erosion). Lots of structure from fallen trees.
Ah I fished that whole area pretty good but nothing with the trout eye and trout tricks. maybe need some different colors. That area is also snag central.

Absolutely.
I was using Gulp Chartreuse that is almost a Day Glow Yellow. When the current was ripping I couldn’t even get a bump. But when the tide slowed down (about an hour before low) was when I got the responses. I was throwing across the channel from the bank and always got the hookups halfway across in the center.
Been there, its a hit or miss spot, lots of snags for sure.
