Bumpy conditions and mixed water made it a tough bite yestarday. The two boats managed to put a box together of some small dolphin and Blackfins. They fished straight out HHI. I did talk to Paul in Jax and they weighed a 65lb hoo yesterday. Still early for us but good signs of fish to come.

We making a betting pool for this?

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

Boat 9 Reel Labor took a risk declaring their first day today in some tough conditions. They just checked in a short while ago and it sounds like it paid off. They will weigh in tomorrow. I will post the weight and pic then.

Congradulations!

Congradulations team Reel Labor. They fished in some tough conditions yesterday and dug out a nice fish to take the early lead! They said it was slow with just a few knock downs until shortly after lunch they took the shot the needed and boated a 43.9lb wahoo.

We have 2 boats out today.

Papa Bear
Lott 700

Lets see if they can catch the current leader REEL Labors 43.9lb Wahoo, I will post reports and pic as soon as they check in.

Good Luck!

2 boats fished their first day today, and both did well!

Papa Bear from Hilton Head

Lott 700 from Richmond Hill

Seas layed down as the day went on, and they both picked at fish all day. Ending up with some good wahoo and blackfin! Both teams will weigh in the morning, I’ll post weight asap!

Papa Bear takes the lead with a strong 62.5lb Wahoo! Fishing out of Hilton Head yesterday, they worked a beautiful eddy that formed mid day right on the ledge.

Lott 700 weighed a 36.4lb fish to move into 3rd place. They fished out of Richmond Hill and ran sth they had 5 wahoo bites and weighed a 24.5lb blackfin to take the lead in the calcutta.

Good day for both teams!

8 Boats declared fish days today. Several nice wahoos will be weighed in tommorrow.

We also have 2 boats fishing tommorrow.

Here is a pic of 1 of manatee mac’s 5 wahoos on the day fishing out of Hilton Head! Saltshaker had 2 fish from today fishing out of Hilton Head as well. Seems like cold water was the story, but the bite turned on for some off Hilton Head and a little farther south. Water was clean but cool on the legde. 68 to 69 degrees. At the end of the day some nice eddys moved in.

2 boats fished up north, one from edisto and the other out of Charleston and had cold water as well, and the bites just were not happening.

great prestation of the event

Three boats weighed Wahoo this morning.

Manatee Mac 37.6 (they caught 5 wahoo)

Saltshaker 39.5 ( they caught 2 fish)

Mikey Likes it 54.9

The story was similar for these guys, find 69 to 70 water, take advantage of the bite when it was on, it was early and over by 10am then it shut down.

2 boats are out today including the defending champs, Team Nomad!

Mikey Likes it!

Both Teams weatherd the storms safely Saturday.

Nomad fished out of Beaufort and had a tough day, no fish to weigh.

Tort Teaser fished out of Hilton Head and they found some fish. They caught 4 wahoo including a 55.5lb stud, to move them into 2nd place.

Tort teaser 55.5lb Wahoo!

Not qiute what I thought it would be after Fridays catch, it just got tough Saturday and the wind picked up pretty good as well. Only 2 boats made it to the scales with wahoo this morning. Boats fished out of Hilton Head, Beaufort, and Charleston yesterday. A lot of ground was covered but few fish were found. Wildlife reported a lot of bonito but that was it. I got simmilar reports from the guys that fished south as well. It did warm up to 70 on the ledge, but man what a tough day. On the up side Tort Teaser fishing their second day, pulled a nice 40.1lb Wahoo to back up the 55.5 the caught on the first day. Not enough to over take the lead but it has them in 2nd place as of today. They fished straight out of Hilton Head on the high speed and actually had 2 nice fish. Sounds like Georgetown had a nice bite, hope it keeps ups.

Only 2 days left in the series. It may all come down to the Hilton Head Harbor Wahoo Shootout to determine the winner!
