Bit of a late start. I’m in…
First blood…
We’ll call the Red 30" and a Weakfish.
Two fierce warriors going head to head , mono e mono, neck and neck, its still anyones game , Id post score but Im confused is it biggest fish in each category or is it biggest each individual fish that takes first in each category ,nice job gentlemen, great variety, is the red considered the biggest in the category or does the black drum also count as the biggest black drum ? Parker 1-red,1whiting ,1 weak, 40inchreds 1-pomp,1blk drum,1-blue nice work folks and good luck to both of you. Dont forget to measure every fish 2 have no measurements and could present a problem.

That looks like a sheepshead to me. Not a black drum. I could be wrong
Sorry folks, Im all over the place with fish ID, I guess I wont be back for any more commentating, thanks Web, as Trump would say “Im Fired” tide has turned maybe they will get another fish or two.
So I won’t be posting any more Whiting pics after this, none worth measuring anyway. 20 so far…are doubles extra points?
Seeing how Im an expert at fish ID those are some good looking Marlin you have there:smiley: figured you were holding a few back, I wonder if 40 inch is:question:
Yeah a 10 inch lady fish 10 whiting under 9 inches 3 hand sized pin fish and a 3 inch pompano. Called it quits at 1 and no more pics because my phone died but I did catch a wind surfer and he crashed but popped my shark rig.
How many points for the wind surfer:smiley: Should at least be 50
And a surfishing trip would not be complete without a Stingray. Packing up now.
“There’s a fine line between fishing and standing in the surf like an idiot.”
Thanks for the show Mr. Parker and 40 Id say yall both killed it, long day for you two ,great job!
It was a pretty long day. I will say that trying to keep up with rods, taking pics then trying to post by yourself is exhausting! But I see this being doable again. Maybe more would contribute? My tally for the day, 21 Whiting 6"-10" 1 Weakfish 1 Red Drum 1 Stingray.
I did hook another Red bigger than the first, both fish bit shrimp, the #2 wire hook gave up when I got it down in the trough, 8-10 yards out. I would guess, by the size of it’s tail, was in the 35"-40" range. During the initial runs it took out about 150yards of line. It gave my 15# line and small #2 wire hooks a work out.
That’s a good looking Sheep 40inch, you must have been set up near some structure.
Probaly could have managed a few more Reds if I started early, had a nice Red drum “highway” the fish were using.
Good work fellas. We should do this again with a little more organization. For all I knew the other thread was still a discussion on rules and nothing was set yet. Oh well I was outta state shooting a bowfishing tournament anyway and with 40inch and dparker on board, it was more or less a guaranteed last place finish for me!

Glad I didnt enter cause I would have gotten schooled, I would have needed 14-16 reds to combat that whiting onslaught, impossible. Got to give credit where credit is due they deployed the right strategy and put up allot of points. Both men were a force to be reckoned with or try putting up 5-6 6ft sharks also highly unlikely.
