Sounds about right.

Unless FSU gets a QB transfer they are in not going to be top dogs.

Why do you say this? FSU is loaded at QB, although they are all young. Jameis was an untested Redshirt Freshman, that seemed to work out pretty well for us!

DD I thought that I read FSU is trying hard to get a good transfer QB…including Braxton Miller, because the other options don’t look great.

PS Winston’s don’t come along back to back very often.

I would think this is about right. The big question for CU is defense. I noticed the article highlighted just the offense. That defense looses almost everyone

Defense loses a lot but every player on the 2/3 deep has significant playing experience. Those guys rotated a lot throughout the year. Add in the RS guys and incoming who may avoid the RS and the defense is set up to be good again. You saw a good bit of next years defense against Oklahoma.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

During the OK game they announcers talked about 13 of the top 15 defensive players will be gone. That is a huge number. Talent is one thing but working as team is hard to find. Every team has plenty of talent. getting them in the groove as a team is the hard part.

Look at FSU, last year they were in the groove. This year, with PLENTY of talent, they just did not have the same mo-jo

It was the lack of protein in their diets…

Actually he said 13 of the top 11...... don't believe everything you hear on tv.

Maybe it was a graphic that said that and he said the wrong thing…

I remember hearing it while the game was on and thinking, WTH? Ed Cunningham is a genius!

The Tiger’s defense is losing some dang good players no doubt. There are a lot of players who made significant impacts this year coming back though. MacKensie, Reader, Bulware etc, there are also quite a few that were RS last year because the defense was pretty deep, people just don’t know their names yet. They have recruited well on the defensive side of the ball. With the coaching staff in place, I don’t see a huge drop off. Will they be as good, who knows but, they aren’t going to suck by any means.

You said the same thing about the offense with Stoudt under center.

You’re right I did, he sucked most of the year. Not sure whether it was the up and down with being promoted, demoted then promoted again or if his shoulder was hurt worse than anyone knew but, he showed out against Oklahoma. That was what most Clemson fans were expecting of him for the entire year.

Defense will be fine, Clemson isn’t Sakkerliner, the defensive coaching staff is actually good.
