Went with Kent and stephan out of georgetown. Vis wasn’t all that great but the fish were thick in 100’ Got some nice flounder, scamps, one nice lobster, limit of gags, and red snapper. Had a little excitement last dive of the day. Stephan had a big sand tiger sneak up behind him and take his stringer of fish. Then the shark follows him back down the ledge to me and grabs my stringer dragging me back through the water. I got to keep my fish but it was certainly a battle. We poked the shark hard every time it came in after us drawing blood but it still kept coming. Thankfully we didnt have to kill it, the ■■■■ thing just kept coming like the terminator. Thanks for the help stephen. Great day to play hookie from work. It was cool to be able to help DNR our with their flounder research also.
Got a neat picture of a Sunfish Breaching by the boat. (otherwise known as a “charleston Bluefin”)

once again you guys kill it. very impressive. takes some stones to STAB a shark in 100’ of water. congratz! next time one steals your stringer, shoot him in the arse:smiley:
Brass ones ya’ll got there!! Been there done that with the sharks and stringers of fish, no more for me. I prefer to stay at the top of the food chain now!
Should have killed the shark. Now he has associated divers with food. The next guys might not be so lucky. Any shark that get’s too comfortable with divers should be given the death penalty.

Nice fish by the way.
I agree with skinneej. If that thing eats me next time I dive I am going to be PISSED!!.. or something…
One more thing there are tons of pics of people holding grouper, snapper, flounder, and lobster on this site. The real pic would be a Giant sandtiger drapped across FLOORED.
Rob, the spot on the snapper, is that were the shark grabbed him?
You guys are the real deal. We need to get together again. AWSOME catch!!

I dont know if you already know this, but its really worth repeating, in case you havent heard. A very good friend of mine was having severe headaches, and had every test know to man. after months of experiments and drugs, and testing, as a last ditch effort, they did a mercury poision test. on a scale of 1-10, he was a 13. he dives frequently, and harvests hogs and lobsters. supposedly, the long life span of the large lobsters, and the hog affinity for lobster, makes them very high in mercury. He eats the stuff all the time. For those of you guys that dive and harvest alot of the lobsters, as well as the older larger fish and eat them often, it might not be a bad thing to be tested. He has been several weeks, and hasnt eaten any seafood, and has completely stopped taking all the eperimental drugs, and although they havent gone away, the headaches are getting more and more tolerable
what do you mean? all the candidates have promised to fix all of our problems, give us all we need and take all they want. what more could you ask for?
not the place i know but all i see on this subject is red!

Nice day for you guys. Cool pics except no. 4 is tainted by that reef anchor on back.
Chris, that is good information to know, thanks for posting it. Maybe you should put it in off topic too.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I’m curious. When you shoot those big’uns, how long do they drag you around before you can put them on your stringer.
Also at 100’, what kind of bottom times are y’all putting in?
/I believe I’d invest in a quick-snap release buckle for my stringer, just in case Mr. Toothy takes a serious interest in the goodies.
//Once did a pleasure dive off Pensacola and a guy was spearfishing that dive. A 12 foot bull shark aggressively stole his goodie bag after he had to cut it loose with his knife. Good times.
