Dropped anchor on the honey hole ledge at “The Hump” (area of live bottom in 82 ft… Water temp 64. Vis - 15 ft. Current ripping. Seas 5-7 soft swell. I didn’t want to get down current, so we dropped down the anchor line to find sand. Swam into the current to find more sand. The ledge had moved. Surfaced to drift back to the boat with nadda. Top guy says the seaturtles were surfacing off the starbord beam. We screwed this one up and were too sick and beat up to try again. Live and learn. Maybe the conditions will improve next weekend. The Hump is an area of live bottom 8-10 miles past the Betsy Ross. There are some ledges that hold grouper and snapper. If you leave Pt Royal Sound and run the same course that takes you past the BR, you will hit it.
