The Rooster Redfish Cup was a small (8 boats) fishing tournament / bachelor party. Lines in was at 7:00 am but sice the crew was still up having fun at 5 am and the wind was blowing 15-20 out of the NE we slept in. Weigh in was at 4:30 and we werein no real hurry. Got on the water at 10ish and worked some feeder creeks on the South Edisto. After a few hours of nothing on cut mullet and mud minos, we switch to black gulp on a jig. It was tuff work in the wind but London Larue managed to pull three slot fish off the oysters to put us in the money. NOt many fish caught in fact the grome fished hard from 7am until 4pm on one beatiful boat with all the local knowledge one could have only to show up to the weigh in fishless. Oh well that’s why the call it fishin.
