Still a “work in progress”, but I am getting close.

Did you mount the rod holders with screws directly into the hull?
They are Cabala’a Quick Draw rod holders with the flush mount base. You have to cut a 1-1/8" hole for the base, and then I used four #12X1" stainless sheet metal screws in each base.

Trying to avoid drilling into any of the fiberglass. I currently have 4 custom rocket launcher holders with a flat plate and 2 driftmasters each allowing me to fish 8 down Rods but all on the back of the boat.

I don’t know how to fish 8 down rods out of one end of the boat, and keep the baits from swimming together. I like to use a 3’ leader between the sinker and the hook, so the tips of the down rods need to be far enough from each other to keep them from tangling. I guess if you keep the side-by-side baits 10’ apart vertically, you might prevent tangles. But I would anticipate having a hooked fish swim through multiple lines.
Just my thought.

I always say if are not willing to drill holes in your boat to help you catch fish (TM, rod holders, transducers) then you bought the wrong boat for the wrong reasons.
If it’s done correctly, no damage will be done to the boat.

I’m with Rick, you put 8 rods out and you will have a mess. Try one per side but if I were you I would add a side rail to the boat and put some rod holders on it. If you gonna striper fish you got to be serious! You need to slap a trolling motor on there as well! I drilled holes in my boat just as soon as I got it in the yard from the dealer!

I may not be as hardcore as y’all. I got it for Offshore and the lake. I DO have to get the trolling motor on it. I’m trying to find some rod holders that can mount to the rails on the front of the boat but haven’t found any. Something to not damage the powder coat. Can anyone send me in the direction to find some rail mount holders. I know we used to have them 10 years ago on my dads boat.

If you are worried about the powder coat, cut a piece of inner tube to put between the mount and the rail.

Rick, are you fishing in the troop event Friday? If so, I want to see your new boat. I know you have fished it in past years.

Lawcrusher has some rail mount rod holders on his boat. Maybe he will chime in.

Not saying anything is wrong with Drftmasters - lots of people use them and they seem to work just fine …
But, let me ask you a dumb question … By the time you buy those Driftmasters and the rail mount attachments … How much are you paying per rod holder???
I mean, I’m not saying Driftmasters don’t have one or two advantages, but price and looks aren’t among the reasons to buy them … and difficulty of installation was a deal breaker for us …
Rail mount bases are only good up to 1" and they are always on backorder … at $10ea for just the base, by the time you get the actual Driftmaster you’re paying $26 - $32ea …
I can get these Tournament rod holders to fit any rail size and they are completely adjustable to suit any application - Inshore, Offshore, or Freshwater …
But by all means, keep on looking for those hard to find driftmaster parts … I’m sure they’ll catch fish too …
